Men love your women as much as Christ loves the church, be willing to die for her. Women, let your man lead your home and respect his decisions, pray with him, that he will take you in the right directions. He will have to answer for those decisions, not to you but to God. Just let him be the man and watch what happens. This is biblical!!!
Men STEP UP!!!! It's time you take your home back!!! It is yours and you need to get busy doing what is right. READ THE WORD!!! Don't be a bully, be a lover but not a wimp!!!! Get off the side lines and get BACK INTO the game. Quit being a wuss, stop relinquishing your authority and get your man parts out of your wives purse. ~ Truthfully, Cochise

You Can't Tame A Man's Heart!!!
Back in the early 1900's men could not go to a sporting event WITHOUT getting involved, whether it was a boxing match, a football game etc., it was our nature, our untamed heart. We wanted to be a part of what was going on in that ring, and on the field, but now we set back and watch a stadium filled with 80,000 people in dire need of exercise watching 22 men on the field in dire need of rest and... we are happy. What happened? Man's heart is an adventurist heart, an untamed heart, we want to be wild, what happened?
TV commercials have made the man look like fools and wimps, having to GET PERMISSION from the women before we can do or go anywhere. Women libbers have cried and want control, well that's not biblical.. A man's adventurist heart should be shared with his women, not tamed by some "silly women being lead astray" by the enemy and his crowd. WHERE ARE THE MEN??? I'll tell you where, they are tired of fighting, and have relinquished their authority to the woman, and hard as she tries to lead the home, it will never work. ~ Cochise
P.S. You women that would argue this, remember, don't roll up on me for a fight of words of opinions, I'm basing my thoughts on the Word. If you don't believe the Bible, this is all moot to you, so save your breath. Arise men, and take your rightful God given place in the home.

Strength Gone Bad!!!
From the book "Wild At Heart"
"Achievers are a socially acceptable form of violent men (people), overdoing it in one way or another. Their causalities tend to be their marriages, their families and their health. Until a man (person) faces this honestly, and what's really behind it, he'll (they'll) do great damage." John Eldredge
Words in parenthesis are mine, as I feel this is just as pertinent to women as well. ~ Cochise

Who's Rules Are They, Anyways?
Legalism - Rules? Is there much difference, both in the secular & religious world? Rules are necessary, right? But when do they become legalistic? What is the difference? When someone says, "legally you can't do that", it kind of scares us, right? but does that mean that a man or men made the rule a law and that's why it's illegal, or did the people decide it? Not all rules are law, right? So do w...e have to obey the rules? but whose rules? Here is what it boils down to:
When I was a kid, the one who owned the only basketball in town made the rules, and if you didn't like them, you had 3 options, 1) you could just not play and go home, 2) you could play, but play dirty or 3) you could beat the owner up and take his ball and then you make the rules!!! BUT, then you become the one who sets the standards, whether leaner or stricter, you have just replaced the person you didn't like. You have become the legalist, because now it's your way or the highway!!!
This is what has crippled the TV Ministries, example Jack Van Impe's standing up to TBN. But the new network he went to has rules as well. So what I'm getting at is this, unless you're the man, you have to follow laws and rules, but you try to find a place of employment, of leisure or even a church that best fits your thinking (for most, less laws or rules).
By the way, if you are the man, be careful that you don't burden down the masses with to much of the law, just because you can, example, our elected officials.
Hope that helps. ~ Cochise

Conversion, Real or Fooled?
The pastor has preached a message, and at the end he gives an invitation to all who would receive Christ to "come". The music begins and someone starts down the aisle. For some strange reason, we seem to assume that the person coming forward is converted by the time he takes the minister by the hand.
The pastor will usually ask, "Do you want to receive Christ as Savior? And be baptized and become a part of this church? Do you believe in Jesus Christ as Savior?" After a "yes" to all these questions, the individual is asked to take a seat and fill out a card. THIS IS NOT CONVERSION!!!!
We are literally bringing millions into our churches this way, and they are still just as lost as they were before "walking the aisle". Some of you are thinking, I didn't do any of that, my Mom & Dad just had the "holy man" pour water over my head as a baby, yeah I know. They made a decision for you, but you have never made one on your own.
Pastors stand children up in Vacation Bible School, and ask them if they love Jesus, love God and want to go to Heaven, they always answer yes. These would also answer yes if you asked them if they believed in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. He leads them through a prayer, and then they are often times baptized, with the blessings of their parents, but were they truly converted............hey don't think I'm judging, I'm just asking.
Did these people see themselves "lost". Romans 3:10, 3:23, 6:23, 5;8??? How can a person be saved, if he doesn't see himself lost? Have you ever met a child that didn't want to go to Heaven? Believed in God? Trusted everything the pastor, priest and pope said?
Romans 10:9-10 & 13 is how a person is converted to Christianity. Acts 4:12 says, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
Ephesians 2:8 & 9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. " Who's faith? Your parents? Your spiritual leaders? Or YOUR faith?
Anyone who comes forward in a service, should have these verses read to them, explaining what God means by them, and then a person, no matter the age, as long as they do know the difference between right and wrong, good and bad, and honestly see themselves as "sinners", (yes even at a young age, if a child is brought up under Biblical preaching and has witnessed sin, and been taught the Scriptures (remember Jesus was only 12 when He was teaching inn the church) they can be saved early in life, which I believe is the greatest testimony of all. How awesome it would be to hear a person say they were saved as a child and has lived for Christ their whole life, instead of a testimony as mine, where I have to say that I was a drunk, an idolater, a whore monger a liar and cheater before my conversion), can make a rational decision and be truly converted!!!
I'm sure some of you may be thinking, "Yeah Cochise, but you have to believe all that junk is real in the first place." Yes, I am aware of that. God will reveal Himself to you for a season (and He has to you several times), then after awhile, He will withdraw the Spirit's wooing, because of the hardness of your heart. Isaiah 55:6 says, "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near."
Isaiah 59:1-2 says, "Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but your iniquities (sin) have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Someone asked me again this week, "What are you trying to do, win the world to God?" Yes, I'm trying, failing miserably at times, but I'm trying. At times I am the biggest hypocrite in the world, as my anger gets a hold of me or I have an unforgiving spirit, and sometimes I can out cuss any sailor in the world, but please overlook me, and take a good long look at Jesus and what He has done for us all.
Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:8, 6:23, 10:9-10,13 Know them, read them, share them!!!
Big Love, Cochise

Evangelism, Church Planting & Growth
Never asked anyone for a penny in 28 years of ministry, but got the ok from the Father Monday night, to ask for 2 things as we continue on in our outreach ministry. 1st, to ask for prayer covering (faith). 2nd, to ask folks to partner with us financially (works) as we endeavor to spread out and start traveling to share the Gospel across America. James 2:17
We have a church in KY right now that wants and needs us. We will continue here in Florida, but give those folks in KY a month or two of our time, to help them.
Pray about planting a seed in our ministry? I can't promise you a million dollars in return, but I promise you hundreds will hear about how to be saved, and that many will be saved. ~ Cochise
P.S. For more info, please reply, as they are private.

September 18th, 2011 "Common Folk Church"
New Smyrna Beach folks. I know that some of you have been wanting to hear me speak for a long time now. I will be preaching at 629 N. Dixie Hwy (Hwy 1) this Sunday at 11am, at the small church next to Hill Bros Tire, "The Light To The World Ministries". Please put aside anything that may stop you from attending, whatever it is, it is of the enemy, Satan. Hard feelings, pride, whatever, kick it to side! There are not going to be to many more chances to hear me here. ~ Cochise
I'll Go Send Me!!!!
What part of the Gospel is optional?
Let's risk it all, so that every person in this world, may hear the name Jesus Christ!!!
Why should thousands hear the Gospel over and over again, while there are some who have never heard about the real reason why Jesus came to earth to do for them, I was 28 years old before someone actually told me the "whole' story, behind the true Gospel. I am willing to go, God send me and my family.
Who will help?
This is what I posted on my Cochise Chops Facebook page:
Just think, if each of my friends here would send me a dollar (I have 1,070 friends), it would pay for me to travel for about a month to share that Name above all names, Jesus Chrsit. I would have to tramp it some, but it would be worth it to me. My living could possible be the difference to many.
I think about that a lot. If any of you asked me for a dollar, I would send you $5 or $10 or $20. And if you are my friend, you know that's WORD! ~ Cochise, Big Love!!!

To My Catholic Friends On Here:
As I know we have some Catholics on here, I was just wondering how they dealt with some of these Scriptures. I don't feel bad asking about them, as I (being a Baptist, of which I claim no denomination anymore) have been asked countless times about Acts 2:38, and being baptized in the name of Jesus only. And falling from grace. Once saced always saved, etc. Therefore I feel I am justified to ask back some questions.
What about I Tim 2: 5-6
"For there is one God and ONE MEDIATOR between God and men, the MAN Christ Jesus (not a man called a priest), who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in it's proper time."
Or 1 Timothy 4:3-5
They forbid people to marry (Priest) and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created (Don't eat meat on Fridays) to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
Or Mat 23:9
And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. (And He isn't talking about your dad.)
Where do you come up with the praying to and through Mother Mary? I know that she was a devout and anointed (also appointed) woman. What are the Rosary beads about? Why is Jesus still on the cross in your church buildings?
Was the Romans (as in Roman Catholics) the ones who persecuted the first century Christians, (like the Puritians burnt presumably witches in America)?
Why do you refer to Simon Peter as the first Pope of the Church, wasn't he married?
What brought these questions to mind is the number of people who ask me often why I believe what I believe. I can look them up in Wikipedia, but I'd love to hear it straight from the Catholic believers mouth (heart).
Not tying to be controversial, just want to know how you Catholics feel about these things. God Bless ~ Cochise

RIP Brian
Did the memorial of a friend in a bar today. There were about 100 people present, with 99 % drinking, and that's ok. But when I got up to speak, which I did for about 20 minutes, you could hear a pin drop. They all listened, even those who knew nothing about the service. The Holy Spirit moved, and He drew many closer to salvation. I wish I could go deeper in what I witnessed, but I can't...........all I can say is something happened that changed lives.

Get a Hair Cut & Get A Real Job!!!
Is it not amazing how when we get in trouble with the civil law, how we clean up our outside appearance before standing before a judge, but yet we know that one day we will have to stand before Jesus as a Christian or God as a lost person, but we still remain filthy in sin on the inside? Do you think He will go light on us, as we think a human judge will? Just a thought.~ Cochise

Honestly
What do you think about preachers who do not preach against sin? This is Part II, and I believe there are 4 parts. RIP Brother David.
TV Preachers
You can not tell me that if a man or a women has to get up on television and beg for money that that is of God. If a person's ministry is legit, God will provide all his needs according to His riches in glory.
I'm embarrassed for some of these people, don't get me wrong, I'd love to have the opportunity to share my testimony on National TV, but to beg and sell, it just makes them look weak, and it weakens the new Christians faith, and causes the lost to doubt the power and Word of our Great God.
I also believe that those people who own these TV stations, that allow this begging and who beg themselves, while living in multi-million dollar homes, WILL HAVE to stand before Him over this nonsense.
Am I wrong or did Jesus say to Judas, "The poor shall always be with you."? This feel good prosperity preaching is a slap in the face to the preachers of old. Can you imaging D L Moody standing in front of thousands, and saying, just feel good about your self and think positive, and God will give you thousands of dollars, as He wants you to prosper. Does prospering mean rich in this world's goods? Of course not, and besides that, Jesus said to lay up treasures in Heaven not here on earth.
Whether you agree or not, it doesn't matter. Cause the only thing I want you to feel good about is your salvation, and that you have made Jesus 100% your Lord.

He Is Breaking Me Down, Like A 12 Guage Shotgun...
.............so He can clean me out and up.
God's doing something in me that I can not explain. People look at me like, "Where did that come from?" I don't know, it's something the Holy Spirit is doing in me. God is teaching me so much more than I ever knew about Him and what He expects of me. I sometimes feel all alone while I'm going through this, but I need instruction.

For the Youngens:
Ecclesiates 11:9-10
You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment. So then, banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the troubles of your body, for youth and vigor are meaningless. (NIV) KJV is better!!!

Nuggets.
You ever feel guilty for not feeling guilty.............this is just another emotion of the saint. Remember GRACE!!!! His grace did not stop (in our lives) after we got saved, it continues on. Live in His grace, His unmerited love for us.
Trying to be good, or just living in the goodness of God?
Jesus said he came for the sinners, not the upright, when questioned by the Pharisees as to whom He was dining with. That tells me that a person, saved by His grace, must see themselves lost, before they can ever be saved. Salvation is not a conscience effort made by man, but a sinner drawn to Jesus by God's grace.
Jehovah Rapha!!!! Come and Heal These Today, in Jesus' Name!!!!
The greatest travisity in our Christian lives is, that we think God is sitting in a grandstand of others and cheers when we do something good. My friends He doesn't want to be our cheer leader, He wants to be our everything, coach, partner, encourager and especially the One who carries us in the troubled times. Don't leave Him on the sidelines, invite Him into your game.
Let go of the things that are temporary, and grab the eternal.
FREE THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!
He Hasn't Done Nothing To Be Imprisoned!!! Let Him Out!!! Let Him Loose!!!

Are You Saved?
Imagine standing in front of a huge dam that is getting ready to burst open, and billions gallons of water is getting ready to hit you right in the face!!! The force would shove you to your death!!!
But now imagine right beofre those tons of water got ready to hit you, a big sink hole opened up, right at your feet, and it took all the water away from you, it absorbed the force, It swallowed up your sure death. That's what Jesus did for you. He took the full force of the millions of sins you have committed in your life, on the cross at Calvary.
Oh what a Savior, Oh Hallelajah!!!

The problems we face today are there because the people who work
for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

Why Can't We Learn From History?
We have replaced God with Government. Less than a hundred years ago, Americans were still putting their faith in God to bless this country, then the Depression came (does that remind you of the OT famines, were God allowed situations in order to discipline the people and to get their attention), and we turned to who for help, the government and look where we are now. Repent America!!!

Saved, But Still Feel Empty? You Stopped To Soon.
What seperates us from truly being in the presence of God. Jesus' death rent the veil that kept the common man from entering the Holy of Holies, so what is keeping us away. He wants us to enter in. That's why He allowed Christ to die.
It must break His heart to see believers, to only go so far into the Tabernacle, going half way and then stopping right before getting to see His Shekinah Glory. To actually get in His presence.
There is a veil that still sepeartes us from entering into His existence, and it can be best described as self. Selfishness. Self gratification. Self-centeredness, must I continue? Why do we not tear down that spritual curtain in our heart that sepeartes us from the all Powerful One.
We took the first step into the Holy Place when we received Christ into our lives, but there is another step, one more place to walk into, that will forever change your life, and your eternity. It is the place that will give you prophetic power, and allow you to do the things that Jesus said we could, "even greater things than Him". So what holds us back? Just ourself.
Tear down that veil made of spiritual membrane that, (that Christ ripped asunder), is stitched back together with ego, selfishness, pride and lust. He that looses his life for Him, will find life in Him. Don't think about what you may be giving up, but concentrate on what you are gaining. The things that stop people from experiencing the one on One personal relationship with God will all be burned up one day, so do not let the temporary things of this condemned earth, keep you from the eternal presence and power of the great God whom made us for His fellowship.
Tear it down and walk inside to where He lives. God is waiting on you.

7 things Weaver suggests non-Christian may be thinking before they walk through our doors:
From Paul Ballew
Understanding the people our churches are trying to reach with the Gospel is far more important than we may think. Even here in the Bible belt, many are unfamiliar with biblical Christianity and have no clue they are in need of transforming grace from Jesus. We can’t assume and carry on like they are going to get our Christian culture. There may have been a time in the past when we could assume they understood our language, worship, and fellowship, but those days are gone.
Thomas Weaver is the Lead Pastor of Logos Community Church, an Acts 29 Church in McAllen, Texas. Recently, he posted on the Resurgence website an article describing non-Christians visiting our churches and what they need us to know about them. There is nothing here many of us have not heard before, but it is good to remind ourselves not to get comfortable in our “holy huddles”.
Here are the 7 things Weaver suggests non-Christian may be thinking before they walk through our doors:
1. I’m not going to understand religious language or phrases so be aware of that when we talk.
2. When you ask me how I’m doing, know that I don’t trust you. I’m probably going to lie and tell you I’m fine. It’s not that I don’t want to tell you; it’s just that I come from some pain and am not sure if I trust you yet. How about you tell me your story first? If I like you and get the vibe that you’re not trying to capture my soul or anything, I’ll tell you mine.
3. I’ve got pretty rough language and I can be bitter and angry about some things. If I sense in you a mindset of superiority, I’m out. If you are just waiting for your turn to talk instead of truly listening to me, I’m not going to be interested. Don’t expect me to be exactly like you.
4. Don’t make a big deal of introducing me to everyone you know. I understand a couple of people, but please; don’t set up a welcoming line. I’m just there to check it out; I need a bit of space.
5. I’m going to be looking for genuine interest in me. I don’t want to feel like your personal salvation project or be a notch on your “I saved one” belt. If this Jesus is who you say he is, then I’m looking forward to seeing him in you. That’s how it works, right?
6. I’m going to have questions. I need truth, not your preferences or your religion, so can you just tell me what the Bible says?
7. I need to feel welcomed. Is there a time limit or something on my visit before I’m supposed to feel unwelcomed? I mean, I’ve been to other churches and there seemed to be a push for me to make up my mind or something. How long until I’m unwelcomed?
As Christians we desperately want to see people come to Jesus and we need to remember this fact, that seeing people come to Christ and joining his mission is the church’s purpose. I have often seen guests at church overwhelmed by eager church members wanting to make them feel welcome. The result was a feeling of awkwardness on the part of the guest. I think people leave our churches trying to understand our behavior more than trying to figure out what God has to say to them. I have wondered if they leave with the feeling we want them to join our church more than feeling we want Jesus to become real in their lives.
My point is that we are not recruiting people to join our club. We are on a mission sharing and living out the Gospel of Jesus.
“When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. 1 Corinthians 9:22″

Remember!!!
Never get above your raising! Never forget where you came from. Be content with what God has given you and don't forget others as you are being blessed. Never look down on someone. Try to help others as much as possible. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away.
Lastly, some people may be better off than you, but no one is better than you!!!

How To Build A Church!!!
It is believed that they prayed together for 10 days, while in that upper room, and waiting as Jesus had commanded them. I wonder what would happen if we applied ourselves to such a task or privilege, perhaps the Holy Spirit would visit us as well, and a great spiritual awakening would take place.
REVIVAL!!!
Vs. 1-4: Expound upon this AWESOME experience.
Matthew 25: 1-13 The ten virgin's OIL, or lack there of. The Bridegroom came back for His bride (the church) and 1/2 of them were not ready, and they ran off trying to get some OIl or borrow some, but it was to late, then Jesus brought those who were ready in, and "closed the door". It was final.
The Sinner's Prayer For Salvation.
Dear God I know I am a sinner in need of a Savior, so I confess my sins to you and ask in Jesus' name for you to forgive me of my sins and to let Jesus and the Holy Spirit take control of my life. I surrender my all to You, and I am trusting You and Your Word to forgive me and to set me free from the bondage of sin. I repent and am sorry, and I accept Jesus Christ and His way into my heart. I pray this in faith. Amen.

Fresh Oil!!! Lesson One of The Book of Acts!!!
Here is an outline we used as a guide for our introduction to the Book of Acts and the Power of the Holy Spirt. Feel free to use any of this. God Bless, Cochise
Fresh Oil (A Jack Hyles Sermon)
King David Was Anointed Three Times With Oil in the Old Testament, why? Each time he was selected to do a new job, a step up in grace, he was anointed with fresh oil. I Samuel 16:12,13- II Samuel 2:4-I Chronicles 11:3
The Holy Spirit is called "The Oil of Joy."
Hebrews 1:9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.
It is important to understand the significance of oil when this was written. "Oil" does not refer to petroleum, but rather olive oil, a major crop at the time. It served as food, was burned in lamps for light, and was traded for other goods and currency.
This is also a most beautiful and suggestive name of Him whose fruit is first "love,", then "joy."
Galatians 5:22 [22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Notice the word "fruit" is singular, not plural, the fruit of the Spirit is made up of all this attributes.
Did you know that oil, evaporates? Loses it's viscosity? Leaks out? Burns up? And that we often times must change it, or add to it. FRESH OIL!!!
The beginning of the Apostles receiving the Holy Spirt, A Foretaste Of Glory Divine!!!
John 20:19-22 King James Version 19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD.
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.
Greek word, "pnuema" = breath, wind, spirit, ghost.
“Begin Ye To Receive The Holy Spirit”. This was just a foretaste of what was about to come on the day of Penetcost!!! Acts 2:1-4
Let's start in Acts 1 and work our way through.
Verse 5; John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Verse 8 How The Gospel Will Be Spread!!! From home, outwards. Missions statrs at the house, in our town!!!
Verse 9 Left On A Cloud, He Will Return On A Cloud Of Glory (Rev.1:7) & Mat 24:27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Everytime we need to take a step up in grace work, we need fresh oil!!!

Doubt
Doubt, a status between belief and disbelief, involves uncertainty or distrust or lack of sureness of an alleged fact, an action, a motive, or a decision. Doubt brings into question some notion of a perceived "reality", and may involve delaying or rejecting relevant action out of concerns for mistakes or faults or appropriateness.
Some definitions of doubt emphasize the state in which the mind remains suspended between two contradictory propositions and unable to assent to either of them.
The concept of doubt covers a range of phenomena: one can characterise both deliberate questioning of uncertainties and an emotional state of indecision as "doubt".
Doubt that god(s) exist may form the basis of agnosticism — the belief that one cannot determine the existence or non-existence of god(s). It may also form other brands of skepticism, such as Pyrrhonism, which do not take a positive stance in regard to the existence of god(s), but remain negative. Alternatively, doubt over the existence of god(s) may lead to acceptance of a particular religion: compare Pascal's Wager. Doubt of a specific theology, scriptural or deistic, may bring into question the truth of that theology's set of beliefs. On the other hand, doubt as to some doctrines but acceptance of others may lead to the growth of heresy and/or the splitting off of sects or groups of thought. Thus proto-Protestants doubted papal authority, and substituted alternative methods of governance in their new (but still recognizably similar) churches.
Christianity often debates doubt in the contexts of salvation and eventual redemption in an afterlife. This issue has become particularly important in Protestantism, which requires only the acceptance of Jesus, though more contemporary versions have arisen within Protestant churches that resemble Catholicism. The debate appears less important in most other theologies[who?], religions and ethical traditions.

Breaking Bad Habits.
Do you have the right people around you? Do you have a support group? Did you know that most people are NOT praying for you! And because of jealousy, many want to see your demise! You have to have some folks praying for you and you praying for them, if you want to break a habit that is dragging you down, and making your life and others miserable.
James 5:16 says Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. That's heavy and it works!!!
We need each other, in the church. How can we get set free of the fleas if we are still hanging with the dogs? Many want to be delivered but they are still hanging on to those who want to see them fail. Hang with righteous people who are and will pray for you.
If we want to be healed of a habit, we need to run from it and not to it. We cannot run with people that support our bad habits. We have to pull up that root.
We can not hang up a bad habit while hanging out with the habit. Watch who you hang with. Poeple propituate our weaknesses. Seek out a people that love you and want you to succeed.
Satan wants you to run with the people who will keep you in the flesh and in your sin. We have to change our committments. Change the SECULAR to the SACRED, by committing to the Kingdom of God.
Fellowshipping with other BELIEVERS is the answer.
God Bless, Cochise (A Witness To What I Just wrote)

If we want to be healed of a habit, we need to run from it and not to it. We cannot run with people that support our bad habits. We have to pull up that root.
We can not hang up a bad habit while hanging out with the habit. Watch who you hang with. Poeple propituate our weaknesses. Seek out a people that love you and want you to succeed.
Satan wants you to run with the people who will keep you in the flesh and in your sin. We have to change our committments. Change the SECULAR to the SACRED, by committing to the Kingdom of God.
Fellowshipping with other BELIEVERS is the answer.

Declaration Day!!!
Declaration Day is here! Remember those who have gone on before us.
When I was a kid, this was a big day. We visited every grave yard where a loved one was buried. I would always walk around and look at the markers that had pictures incased in the stone, many were of young service men killed during WWII. I thank God I live in America, and I thank Him for those who have and still are fighting to keep her free.

Are We Enabling The Poor To Stay That Way?
For the last 24 to 36 hours, I have been burdened about feeding the homeless, or whoever they are that eat free everyday at one of two places here. I feel that we who are doing the feeding and work, are enabling these (the same people everyday over & over & over) to stay where they are. I've noticed the workers wait on them hand and foot. This may make the servers feel humble and Christ like, but I think the ones receiving the free food, should do something as well.
Let them clean up, sweep, mop, wash dishes, bring a can good from time to time. Let them serve the food. Or even help prepare it. God's Word says that He feeds the birds of the air, (like when grain falls from a passing truck as they make a turn), but those birds still have to come down off of that telephone wire, to pick it up.
I know this is crazy, but I'm really burdened about this. I see the same older christian people, working their finger's to the bones to feed these, whom I feel are taking advantage of it.
I am going to pass out a questionaire next week asking those who eat free, if they work? Will they work? Can you pass a drug test? And to show up at a specific time to work for a fair wage, and see how many do. Though I don't have a job for them, I will give them a free meal coupon from a local restaurant to those who do. I just have to see if they are causing these good Christian servers to become co-dependent.
My Bible says the poor will always be with you, and when you help a "truly" poor person (many of these get a check every month from the government), then you are doing it to Christ as well, but It also says that if a man doesn't work, he doesn't eat.
I do know that some of these we are feeding do work when they can find a job and get to it, and I realize some have mental problems (from mild to way out there), yet I see some wearing nice jewelry, riding expensive bicycles, and yesterday one man was driving a Cadillac Escalade. Perhaps this is how they can afford such nice stuff, because "Christians" are making it to easy for them.
That small black church works their butts off for these people, two men in their 60's, and two women in their 80's, serving 8 meals a month, and I have seen only one "eater" ever donate some food to them, and only one that helped clean up, in the 2 months I have been helping and observing.
I'm just burdened that we in the church are following suite with the government, and keeping these where they are, through hand outs. That isn't what Jeus wants us to do. Am I crazy?

P.S. There is a difference between the "working" poor, as many of us are in this boat that may need a little help from time to time, and the "not wanting to work" poor. Big Love!!!

RADICAL CHURCH!!!!
When was the last time you were in Church? When was the last time you truly felt the Holy Spirit move? Or seen a moving of the Spirit? Didn't want the service to end? Someone saved? Someone broken before God? A simple rededication? Don't you get tired of "nothing" happening? Good grief Charlie Brown. do something exciting for a change! "RADICAL"!!!!!!!!!!
God never called us to sit quietly and calmly in the pew of a dead organization! He said as you go, make disciples and baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit!!! Have you been doing this or seen anyone else practicing this command from Jesus? Get RADICAL!!!
Jesus is coming back for His Bride, the True Church, not some dead dormant people, but those who are ALIVE IN CHRIST!!!! RADICAL!!!!
Hook up with a ministry that's doing something that can't be explained away by man!!!

The Biblical Way.
I have been praying for you.
The first thing you must look at is, have you truly confessed your sins to God, and shared with Him the need for Jesus His son, as your Savior. When you did this, was God drawing you to this decision, if so, that was the Holy Spirit drawing you.
Second, did you truly repent of your sins and accept the teaching and invitation of Jesus? And pray and ask Him into your heart and ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit so He could lead you daily?
Third, do you read the Bible? Start in the Book of John, then go to Acts and Romans........stay out of the Old Testament for awhile. Read Galations, Ephesians, Colossians and Phillipians. When I back slid on God, was when I wasn't reading my Bible. Hearing what God has has to say, in the Bible is more important than what we have to say, in prayer, but don't stop praying.
Lastly, every morning get up and ask the Holy Spirit to quide your day. Many rise up and decide if they want the Spirit in their life or not, we try to ditch Him when we don't feel spiritual, and ask Him to join us when we do or get in a bind. He leads us, not us leading Him.
Dear God in Heaven, please give ___________ a clear understanding of all that they ask in Jesus name I pray. God Bless!!!

Soul Winning!!!
One on One Soul Winning still works best for me. Just them, me and the power of the Holy Spirit, drawing them and speaking through me. It just works!!!!
Members say that the pastor is to get out there and bring people into the church so it can grow, but remember "sheep produce sheep"...........of course the pastor is a sheep as well. A good pastor is concerned more about enlarging the Kingdom of Heaven, rather just growing a church.

Homey Don't Play That Game.
Just got in from helping feed some homeless folks in the area. Got jumped on by a retired cop (security, why do you need security when the Holy Spirit is on the scene?), but lined him up.........people just don't get it. You can't talk down to these who are homeless and hungry, they are hurtin.
He thought I was one of them and that's cool, but he wasn't expecting my response, when I told him, do not talk down to me!!!!
If this man sees these folks that eat there as a problem, he needs to go, actually I will pray right now for that to happen. God remove the attitude from this man's heart towards these that we feed, or remove him from this position, in Jesus name I pray. Cochise

Unleashed!!!
The church in the New Testament impacted the world. It changed culture from Jerusalem to Judea to Samaria and to the ends of the earth. The early disciples turned the world upside down with their message, their lives, their commitment, and their passion.
But what about you? Are you praying for boldness? Or have you become satisfied with the status quo—afraid to offend, almost apologetic of presenting Jesus as the only way to Heaven? If so, then it’s time to join the radical mission of Jesus in your church, community, and world!
The book of Acts is a foundation to share powerful examples of how the church is fulfilling the revolutionary mission of Jesus and why the church today should be known for:
• Its passion to dream (Acts 17:6)
• Its diversity and unlimited reach (Acts 1:8; 10:1-48)
• Its mind-blowing growth (Acts 2:41-47; 4:4)
• Its confrontation of culture (Acts 4:13-22)
• Its supernatural power (Acts 4:23-31)
• Its extravagant giving (Acts 4:32-37)
• Its willingness to risk (Acts 5:17-42)
• Its constant motion (Acts 13:41-52)
• Its unswerving persistence to go and turn the world upside down (Acts 20:22-24)

The Cursed Fig Tree.
Mat.21:17-22
And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there. Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Why Did Jesus Curse That Fig Tree? Because it lied, it was suppose to have had small young figs on it, but it didn't. The Lord takes this opportunity to stress to His disciples the necessity of FRUITFULNESS!
The curse of the fig tree is for hypocrisy & unfruitfulness. How about you? Are you a witness of Christ? Do you bear fruit? Have you ever shared your salvation experience with another person?

Unless The Father Draw Him
John 6:44
Jesus said "No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up on the last day.'' (John 6:44). Many refer to this verse in an effort to support a man-made doctrine which says that only those whom the Lord "calls'' in some mystical way can be saved. They will say that this calling is some sort of direct operation of the Spirit. Calvinism teaches that man is totally passive and cannot do anything until God zaps him with some special anointing, thereby enabling him to believe. Such an idea is foreign to the scriptures.
Our Lord does draw people to Him, and no one can come to the Lord apart from God's drawing power. But this is not a matter of God electing to save some of us and condemn others of us arbitrarily. Consider: God wants all to be saved, and the reason some are lost is not because God has unconditionally chosen them to be.
For Whom Does God Desire Salvation?
The good news is that God does not desire anyone to be lost. No one! God is "...patient, not wishing for any to perish." (II Peter 3:9). God is "compassionate" (Matthew 9:36; Psalm 86:15) God is "...just" (Romans 3:24-26). God is "Sorrowful" that many are lost (Ezekiel 18:23; 31,32; cf. Matthew 23:37). To suggest that man cannot respond to God's gospel apart from a special anointing or calling that God gives to them that He does not give to all others makes God responsible for the lost being lost. But that does not fit with the Biblical description of God's character and nature.
God made salvation available to all. Salvation is available for all men, not just a select few. Jesus died for everyone (Hebrews 2:9; John 3:16). God wants all to come to know the truth (I Timothy 2:4). The invitation is open to all, 24 hours a day. There's no such thing as waiting on God's "special call.'' (Matthew 11:28-30; Revelation 22:17). He has already issued His call, and it has gone out unto the whole world. Any of us can choose to answer it, or not.
How God Draws People Unto Himself
The context of Jesus' statement explains how God draws men and women to Himself. There is nothing mystical about it. The following verse in the context (John 6:45) reveals how God draws men unto Himself. "It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught of God.' Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me." Note the words "taught" and "every man" (all drawn the same way; by being taught) and "hear" and "learn" and "come". These are not mystical words. They are common, everyday words which are used to describe how it is that people are drawn to Christ.
What is it that is taught and heard and learned? The means or method by which God "calls'' or "draws'' all men is the Gospel. "And it was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ." (II Thessalonians 2:14). There is no special, mystical anointing of the Holy Spirit, but rather, the Holy Spirit calls men through the gospel; and it is the gospel that is the power (Romans 1:16).
God draws people unto Himself through the teaching of the gospel. The preaching of the gospel is God's power, his drawing power, to save (I Corinthians 1:18-21). Therefore, all people, when they hear the gospel, at any moment, have the ability to respond to God's gospel call. They also have the ability to reject it (Acts 13:45-48).
Sinners are saved by God's grace when they respond in faithful obedience to the gospel that draws them to God (Matthew 7:21). God is always ready for men to repent and obey (Acts 17:30). It is those who will do so that God has predestined for salvation (1 Thessalonians 5:9). This is an important concept to recognize. God has not predestined individuals to be saved or lost, but rather, has predestined the method by which we are saved. If we obey the gospel, we are baptized "into Christ" (Romans 6:3,4). God has predestined all those "in Christ" to be "blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 1:3). But it is up to us as to whether we will obey or not.
How To Be Drawn To God's Son And Be Saved
There are not many ways to be drawn to God. In fact, there is only one way to come to the Father (John 14:6). One cannot get to heaven through Jesus apart from obeying Him (Hebrews 5:9). Those who attempt to enter another way are counted as thieves and robbers and will be unsuccessful (John 10:1).
How does one answer God's call? This is important for you to know because God is calling you. Have you answered? If not, will you? Will you call upon Him? For whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved." (Acts 2:21). The people who heard this wanted to know how to do so (Acts 2:37) They were told "Repent and be baptized, everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:38). Men must believe and obey (Mark 16:16). Saving faith is alive, not dead, and proves itself by obedience to the gospel. The gospel is God's call to us by which we are drawn to Him. Our obedient faith needs to be the answer we give His call.

What Stimulates You?
I have been praying without ceasing on why people don't want to come to a Christian worship services these days. Could it be because God isn't there?
Hosea 5:15 Then I will return to my place until they have borne their guilt and seek my face, in their misery they will earnestly seek me.”
I would not be afraid to say that millions of people have attended or are attending worship services through out our nation, state and cities that have never experienced the Awesome Power of God, the Presence of Christ and the Movement of the Holy Spirit, why? Again, perhaps it's like what was written in Hosea, God has gone back to His place, intending to stay there until the people truly want Him.
I understand that the church is competing with television, movies, concerts and the nightly entertainment, which is all exciting and stimulates our souls and emotions as we attend, watch and listen, but my friends, IF you ever experience God one time, in a way that He wants us to, you will put Him at the top of your list on who to seek for that sensation that stimulates every fiber in our body, every emotion in our soul and every space in our quickened spirit. I have been there, but not lately, (other than in my prayer closet).
It's very hard to find a place in America, and I'm not saying there isn't any, where you can experience the awesomeness of God. He just doesn't show up anymore, because He is not asked to. Yes we pray to Him, and we thank Him and even ask Him to heal the sick, BUT is HE with us, is His Power with us? Do we loose the Holy Spirit in our church services when we come into worship, or do we keep Him held back and dormant?
Rev 3:20, says that Jesus stands at the door and knocks, wanting to come in. This is not referring to a persons heart, rather read the text, He is outside the church knocking, and wanting to come in, and as many believe, as do I, that the door handle that opens the door is on the inside, but very seldom, do we let any part of God into our services.
I know that church can compete with the theater, the television and the tavern, if we will just let Him in and let Him loose once we come together for praise and worship. Even the reading of His Word will stimulate the spirit, if we want it.
Give me a church, that isn't afraid of God, and I will promise you that all other forms of stimulation of the emotions will soon fade away in your life, as we connect to the One who will give us the power to get through everyday, with great joy. I promise!!!
Seek God while He may be found,

John 3:16-21 People Love The Dark!!!
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict:
Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Lukewarm Christians???
Lukewarm people feel secure because they attend church, made a profession of faith at age twelve, were baptized (sometimes as a baby), came from a Christian family, vote Republican, or live in America.
Just as the prophets in the Old Testament warned Israel that they were not safe because they lived in the land of Israel, so we are not safe just because we wear the label Christian or because some people persist in calling us a "Christian Nation".
Lukewarm people probably drink and swear less than average, but besides that, they really aren't very different from your typical unbeliever. They equate their partially sanitized lives with holiness, but they couldn't be more wrong.
The truth is, their lives wouldn't look much different if they suddenly stopped believing in God.

Lay Aside Your Background Of Beliefs And Open Your Mind.
"I don't practice religion.", I have heard this quiet often in the last 28 years.
If people would just open their minds and hearts, to understand the simpliest things. Though Christainity is religion, it is so different from other beliefs. I know that Christians have not always been right in their actions, such as burning what they assumed were witches, and other heidous crimes to humanity in the far past, yet this belief has done more for this old sick world than any others.
My prayer is this, regardless of your background are you willing to SET IT ASIDE, an just respond to Biblical Truths?
Would you honestly ask yourself if just maybe your beliefs and way of thinking possible could be wrong? Can you be open minded? This is when I have most learned the true things of God, and I am still learning to be even more open to the Spirit's revelations to me daily.
We need to base our understanding of who God really is and not who we think He is or want Him to be, and what Jesus did (as far as coming to earth in the flesh and the importance of that) and the experience of the Holy Spirit on Biblical truths, and not out of fear or cultural upbringing.
Christianity is far more than a religion, it is a way of life that produces better people, and thus creating a better world. I believe that is what the founding fathers of our nation had in mind as they penned the laws and rules of our Nation when they begin to seriously develope what America was to be. Little did they know that this country, called a christian nation, would become that in name only, as we have drifted far from the Word.
Maybe you don't practice religion, but I know for a fact that many who say this, have asked God to help them in their time of need, in times of uncertainity and when they or a loved one is sick. These also blame God for any bad things that might transpire in their lives, thus recognizing a Supreme Being, but not wanting to practice this thing called religion.
I love these people no matter what, for when they tell me that they don't practice any religion it isn't directed to me personally and I pray that their hearts would be open to Biblical truths. God bless them.
I John 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. 21 I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. 22 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

The Great White Throne Judgement.
Revelations 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
I feel that many of you think I am crazy, and I am Crazy In Love With God!!! I also feel many of you don't want to hear or read what I write, though some of you want it, and even more.
The above Scripture's is what is referred to as the Great White Throne Judgement, where those who die in sin, or those who have never received Jesus Christ into their lives as Savior will be judged and cast into a lake of fire.
I believe we who are saved will be there to witness this (I Corinthians 6:2 Do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world?).
My heart will be broke and tears will flow on this day. For on this sad occasion, the lost will look up and see people like me that warned them of this day, and who offered them a new life in Christ and as eyes meet, people like me will be remembered. You will remember me writing this BLOG, and that you refused to accept God's offer of salvation, if you do.
There will be tears, and I too will be ashamed as well. For you see many of us who were saved from this lake of fire through our faith in Christ DID NOT witness as we should have. I personally will be saddened by those who have died right here in New Smyrna Beach that I could have witnessed to, but didn't. I will feel their blood on my hands as they are cast into outer darkness.
This is going to be a day of terrible, terrible happenings. Those whose names are not written in the Lamb's Book of Life (that didn't receive Christ into their hearts, that's how you get your name written there, in His blood by the way) will be crying for another chance, "I always meant to make things right God". they will cry.
And those of us who failed to tell them about how to get saved, will be weeping just as loud, as we see friends and family being eternally seperated from us. My heart cries right now, knowing that some have already died without Jesus.
And it's broken even more knowing that many that I love will not be there with me.
Now is the day to get right with God. You are reading this for a reason, why not bow your head right now and admit you are a sinner and ask God for forgiveness of you sins, and ask Jesus into your life. Admit him into your daily walk and become a disciple today.
Please Lord use this BLOG to win my friends and family to Christ and to get their names written into the Lambs Book of Life. Amen
A New Heaven and a New Earth
Revelation 21:1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
If you do pray and accept Christ as your personal saviour, please let me know as I can rejoice with you. If you have any questions, please contact me.

Americanized?
My heart is so full of the Holy Spirit that I cannot even think of nothing but doing the will of God. Serving Him and loving Him, by doing the same to the people of this world. Jesus says that when we do these things, love, feed, clothe, house, the less of these your brethren, then you are doing to Him as well.
I am praying hard for the eyes of the true belivers to be opened to the truth of His word, and that we would take our eyes off of self and the things of this world, and focus on what is right and good in His eyes.
Why do we give God our left overs, our crumbs while we set back in the lap of luxury and proudly proclaim, "Look what I have done. See what I have accomplished." While 3.2 children are dying every minute in this world that we live in, dying from starvation and preventable disease.
Some of you believe in re-incarnation, but do you know what will determine what you come back as? Or where you will be placed? According to that belief, you will be rewarded in another life, by what "good' you did in this life. Many people, if there is such a thing as re-incarnation, will come back as one of those whom they have forgot, and likely in a third world country, poor, very poor.
Do something today to lay up treasures in Heaven. Give until it hurts, and watch God bless you. It is the only time in Scripture where God says test me (Malachi). See if you can out give God, I dare you.
The American dream is a farce, if you are a Christian. No where does it say to have the biggest house, the most expensive car or millions in the bank. Rather the Word says to be a disciple, sell all you have and give it to the poor and come follow Him. The Bible says to humble yourself under the mighty hand of God and in due time He will exhalt you. His word promises each of us that He will supply all our needs. Our food, our clothing and shelter. Jesus says go and make disciples, and take nothing with you...........that certainly isn't the American way, eh?
I see a hurting world everyday, and I talk to the One who is in control of this universe, and He is saying........."Let go of your worldly possesions and GO ye into the world."
To me the rich man isn't the billionaire, but the person who is sharing God's love with his fellow man. Walking by faith, rather than by what they have in the bank.
We quote Scripture, but do we really believe them, Phil 4:13, "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength"..........you really believe that? Jesus says, "Greater things than I do, you can do." You ever raised the dead, gave sight to the blind, won someone to Christ. Do we believe Him. Have we no faith. For without faith it is impossible to please God!!!
I implore you, read the Word. Start with John! Go to Acts and Romans next. Read the 4 Pauline Epistles, Galations,Ephesians,Colossians, and Phillipians. Then hunker down in the Book of James for about a week, and see what Our job, as born again believers really is.
God help us to see the Truth!!! To take to heart what our mission is as saved people. Burn Matthew 28: 19-20 into our hearts. Give us fresh Oil from Heaven my Father, and set our souls on fire to reach out to the dead in sin, the hurting both saved and lost in Jesus name, give us power over the devil and authority and strength to be your chosen disciples from this day forward.
Amen

Spend Yourself For Others! Be Third!
Jesus First, Others Second, Then You!!! God has so much for us if we would just apply this thinking into our daily lives.Isaiah 58
True Fasting
1 “Shout it aloud, do not hold back.
Raise your voice like a trumpet.
Declare to my people their rebellion
and to the descendants of Jacob their sins.
2 For day after day they seek me out;
they seem eager to know my ways,
as if they were a nation that does what is right
and has not forsaken the commands of its God.
They ask me for just decisions
and seem eager for God to come near them.
3 ‘Why have we fasted,’ they say,
‘and you have not seen it?
Why have we humbled ourselves,
and you have not noticed?’
“Yet on the day of your fasting, you do as you please
and exploit all your workers.
4 Your fasting ends in quarreling and strife,
and in striking each other with wicked fists.
You cannot fast as you do today
and expect your voice to be heard on high.
5 Is this the kind of fast I have chosen,
only a day for people to humble themselves?
Is it only for bowing one’s head like a reed
and for lying in sackcloth and ashes?
Is that what you call a fast,
a day acceptable to the LORD?
6 “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness[a] will go before you,
and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
9 Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
“If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday. 11 The LORD will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
13 “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight
and the LORD’s holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
14 then you will find your joy in the LORD,
and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land
and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.”

David Wilkerson Was Taken On Home Yesterday
The author of "The Cross & The Switch Blade", and pastor of Times Square Church, and the man who won Nicky Cruz to Jesus was killed in a car accident. Below is a writing he did in 1973 phrophesing what will take place in America. Are we there yet?
Wilkerson believed that in April 1973 he received a vision regarding the future of the United States and subsequently gave a sermon on the vision and published a book called The Vision. He has said that God revealed to him a great calamity which was going to befall America due to increase in sins such as homosexuality, sexual promiscuity, and greed.
Some of the details of this reputed vision were:
"Worldwide recession caused by economic confusion"
"At most a few more fat flourishing years, and then an economic recession that's going to affect the life style of every wage-earner in the world. The world economists are going to be at loss to explain what's happening. It's going to start in Europe, spread to Japan and finally to the United States."
There will be a move toward a worldwide, unified monetary system. The US dollar will be hit bad and it will take years for it to recover.
The only real security will be in real estate (until a somewhat later stage, at which point this apparent security will also disappear).
"Nature having labor pains"
Environmentalists will come under heavy criticism.
There will be major earthquakes.
There will be a major famine.
Floods, hurricanes and tornadoes will increase in frequency.
"A new kind of cosmic storm appearing as a raging fire in the sky leaving a kind of vapor trail."[4]
"A flood of filth and a baptism of dirt in America"
Topless women will appear on television, followed by full nudity.
Adult, X rated movies will be shown on cable television. Young people will gather at homes to watch this kind of material in groups.
Sex and the occult will be mixed.
There will be an acceptance of homosexuality, and the church will even say that it is a God-given gift.
"Rebellion in the home"
"I see the new number one youth problem in America and the world as hatred towards parents."[4]
"A persecution madness against truly Spirit filled Christians who love Jesus Christ"
There will arise a world church consisting of a union between liberal ecumenical Protestants and the Roman Catholic Church, using Christ in name only.
There will be a hate Christ movement.
There will be a spiritual awakening behind the Iron and Bamboo Curtains.
Others
There will be another wave of riots.
There will be a fall in moral conduct.
There will be a new drug that will be popular with teenagers that will break down resistance and will encourage sexual activity.
Homosexual and lesbian ministers will be ordained and this will be heralded as a new breed of pioneer.
There will be nude dancing in church, but this will never be widespread.
There will be occult practices in churches.
Segregation.
They say the most segregated hour in America is at 11am on Sunday mornings, and I believe that. Could it be because of racism? Even in the church?

Oxymoron's???
A fine mess, A just war, A little big, A little pregnant, A new classic, absolutely unsure, abundant poverty .....well you get the point, but here is one that I cringe at.............
A Lukewarm Christian!!! Can there be such a thing? This is the perfect example of "deception", and of the of the parable "the wheat & the tares"............Jesus is saying I had rather you be lost (cold) than pretending to be a christian!!!
Because you deceive others, especially the lost, who think all they have to do is do what you're doing, nothing, and be alright. Jesus says He will spit you from His mouth. Now I don't think He would spit a true beliver from His mouth, therefore, this luke warm person He is referring to is just as lost as last year's easter eggs.
Lukewarm Christians, the deadliest oxymoron of all.
Be Hot or be Cold!!!! Either you're saved or you're lost!!! There is no middle, no gray area!!! Think about it!!!

Please Read And Take The Challenge.
This is a Test:
God tells us to love, love, love!!! If Jesus asked you to give up everything you have and own and to follow HIm, and you answered His call, you may end up going straight to a cross (death), or to a foriegn country, or to your neighbor next door.
He may ask you to sit with sinners, and eat with drunks and whores. He may call you to preach, pastor or whatever, but be assured of this one thing; whatever He leads you to do, it will involve loving people right where they are and wherever He sends us. He is going to ask you to spend your time helping people who will not love you back and never show gratitude for what you gave up!!!
I am going to cut and paste part of I Corinthians 13 and ask that every time you see the word love, substitute your name there, for example, Love is patient, read James is patient, or Sue is patient, and (your name) is kind. Do this and tell me what you felt like when you finished.
I felt like a liar.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, Love does not boast, Love is not proud. 5 Love does not dishonor others, Love is not self-seeking, Love is not easily angered, Love keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
If we say we love God, yet hate our brother, the truth is not in us.
Matthew 22:36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
I feel so unworthy as I read this, yet we should strive to be perfect (mature) in this thing called love, both agape (God) love and phileo (brotherly) love.

Darrin Miller, Myself and a Handful of Others!!!
I've been reading the book "Radical" by David Platt and now am in the midst of reading Francis Chan's "Crazy Love". I must admit that both of these men's publications are very, good, and the church is in great need of what these two have penned.
I do not believe there has ever been a time in church history that the writings of both of these, would have been relevent and up to date. Many of the main stream denominational churches have lacked an understanding of the Omnipotence of God, the Atonement of Christ and what I feel most important, the indwelling of the Holy Spirt.
Many have died, after attending church all their lives and never knew just how big, how awesome and intricate their heavenly Father is (was). They perhaps, knew a little more about Jesus, but quiet possibly many of them never really beieved His words on how to become a follower (disciple). And assuredly, many church members have gone to the grave, NEVER utilizing the gift of the Holy Spirit, that the Father sent to us as the Comforter, Counseler and Companion.
Many who have died, as well as many who sit in our churches weekly haven't caught on to the person of the Spirit. Some seem frieghtened Of Him. Others look at you like a young calf looking at a new gate, at anyone who mentions being indwelled or filled with the Holy Ghost.
Yet these two men, David and Francis have expounded on these subjects in a God directed way in each of their writings, and I admire them and am so appreciative that they are on the top sellers list and selling millions of copies. Praise the Lord.
But I have to say this also, Darrin, myself and a few other young Baptist preachers/pastors were teaching and preaching the very same thing week after week to what seemed to unhearing ears. Maybe because we didn't have hundreds in our small churches, or the fact we just wasn't being connected to, I don't know, but we did it. Did we see the results as these have, I didn't.
A few got it, but most just said I was expecting to much out of them. I probably wasn't loving enough when I spoke, I know that, but as I refered to myself else where, I was just ignorance on fire. Other preachers said that I was wasting my time, Deacons called me on the carpet because I taught them the truth. I was reprimanded by mentors, and older pastors. They say I tore up the church, but I wasn't trying to, rather I was trying to stir them up.
Anyway, I appreciate these two fine young Chritian men, but I have to say, and not out of jealousy, but out of standing up for some fine young preachers that attended school together back in the mid eighties, that what they have written WAS preached by many of us.
God Bless all of God's people who are truly sold out to His ways, and help others to see how much more they could have if they would only hear.

This Week
What a blessing and a surprise to see my daughter Melanie and her two children pulling into the driveway, from KY. They are not going to get to stay long, but anytime with them is better than no time.
I love my children as no man can. I love my grandbabies so much, as they too bring me much joy, and we have another one on the way.
I didn't have a lot of time to learn from my dad, as he was taken from me at the age of 17, but the main thing he taught me through his actions, was love for his kids. He loved us.
I pray that my own children see that in me, and learn that and many more positive attributes from their father.

For The Love Of God.
Loving people is sometimes difficult and I've crossed paths with a few that just didn't want to be loved, heck I've been that way a few times in my struggling life. I still remember that saying from 40 years ago that was going around at the time, "Love is a verb." It's action and sometimes a reaction, but love is an essential to people. At times, just like I didn't want to be loved on, I have those days when I want everyone to love me.
Jesus said that there is a couple things that we can do that we can hang all the laws on, and that is love God with all our heart, minds and being, and love our neighbors as we love ourselves. That is God love, agape love. If you love Him more than anyone or anything else in this world, I mean more than mate, children and money, then it is so much easier to love your neighbor, because you are seeing that person as God sees them, one of His creations that needs to know that He loves them, and He does it through us.
Love Through Him,

He Ascended From Heaven!!!!
Several different kinds of religious people were sitting around talking about how we all are seeking the same God, just named different, and by different paths, like God sits on a mountain top & we are all trying to get up to Him. Then a believer of the Bible, says wouldn't it be cool, if He came down to us, instead of us trying to get to Him. They all agreed, and then the beliver said let me tell you about Jesus.

Who We Really Are!!!
This is the reality about humanity. We are each born with an evil, God-hating heart. Genesis 8:21 says that every inclination of man's heart is evil from childhood, and Jesus' words in Luke 11:13 assume that we know that we are evil. Many people say, "Well, I have always loved God," but the reality is, no one has. We may have loved a god that we made up in our minds, but the God of the Bible, we hate.
In our evil we rebel against God. We take the law of God, written in His Word and on our hearts, and we disobey it. This is the picture of the very first sin in Genesis
3. Even if God has said not to eat from the tree of knowledge, we are going to do it anyway.
We spurn our Creator's authority over us. God beckons storm clouds, and they come. He tells the wind to blow and the rain to fall, and they obey immediately. He speaks to the mountains, "You go there," and He says to the seas, "You stop here," and they do it. EVERYTHING IN ALL CREATION RESPONDS IN OBEDIENCE TO THE CREATOR....UNTIL WE GET TO YOU AND ME. We have the audacity to look God in the face and say, "No."

It Will Happen!!!
I am so burdened today, for the lost souls that engulf me daily, and as anyone who knows me, knows that I will witness to them, tell them above Jesus, how to be saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, but the apathy and ignorance in their voices and body language seems to overshadow the truth. Yet, I know and believe that greater is He that's in me than he that's in the world and though it appears as I'm wasting my breath and time, I know that conviction is falling.
When I see a rise in their resistance, hear a bitterness in their voices, and read contemptment in their words, I know that God is working and I pray harder and harder for them. I pray that they will seek Him, while He may be found.
I may have faltered many times in my prayer life, that at times has been infested with doubt, yet I know that there is power in prayer, power that can not be masked nor explained away. Watch this page, read this page and you too will see. It's not me, it's Him, the Holy Spirit. He is convicting the sinner, the lost, the ones that the world has damned, the ones whom Christ died for. Watch and pray, for it may get darker, before the Son breaks through these clouds of dissention and unbelief, but it will come, and we will give God all the glory.
God WILL HAVE A PEOPLE SOLD OUT!!! Whether us or not and he will always answer those prayers and He will convict and draw people to Him. So agree with Him and me for the salvation of these who dare not to believe. Pray with me that the scales may fall from their eyes, and their hearts would be softened, and filled with faith. Pray with me. Pray that they will see the eternal truths. Pray that these that put their faith in themselves and the temporary things in their lives, will be liberated. Pray with me.

You Ain't Seen His Work Yet, Just Man's Attempt!!!!
If the church you are attending or have attended in the past, were to have the pastor to get up this Sunday morning and read a romance novel, told feel good stories and sang country music songs, rather than reading the Bible, preaching against sin and singing worship and praise music, would there be a difference in the outcome of the service? Would there be any more repentence, any more salvations, or life changing experiences?
The reason many of you don't attend church service, don't want to attend church service and have no intention to ever attend church services, is because there is no power there. You have never experienced the moving of the Holy Spirit, you have never seen God work, all you have wiitnessed is a bunch of ordinary people, doing ordinary stuff that has shown you and the world that, "anybody" can do that.
Question, If you where never to mention God in your church services again, would the church still continue on? Would there be a change, a difference? Or would it be staus quo?
Does your place of worship, just tack the name of God on to the people's strategies? Is He just an add on, to make us feel like we are doing something positive and to make us feel safe?
What is strangly missing in churches is His power. He is just a tag to our programs, personalities and professionals. Churches are carrying on without the power of God, but for what reason.
That is why you unchurched don't like organizated religion, or coming to the house of prayer, or say to me, "I don't want nothing to do with that shit", because all you have ever seen is the workings of man!!! Man's strategies. Man's programs. Man's attempt at doing what they feel is correct. But where is His power?
I am praying right now for God to do something in your life that cannot be explained away as man's doing. I'm praying that eyes are opened that you will see the eternal, and get your eyes off of the temperal.
It is eveident that the Holy Spirit is missing in our church buildings, and as we read in Revelation 3:20 we see why, as Jesus Himself is standing on the OUTSIDE of the church in Laodicea, knocking on the door saying, "Here I am. Let me in."
Read the Book of Acts, in Chapter 1 there were 120 disciples, then Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father, and the Holy Spirit came down to aide the believers with their mission of spreading the good news and seeing souls converted, saved, and in about 2 days after the power fell, the church grew by 3,000 people. WHERE IS THE POWER??? Those believers in that upper room were not plotting strategies, or mapping out programs they were praying for the Power to fall, and He did, and you can read the rest.
You can say your church (your place of worship is you), that you can worship anytime, AMEN, but remember Christ died for the church, and the Word says forsake not the assembling of yourselves together on the Lord's day to WORSHIP HIM. You say you don't need a bunch of people to help you worship God, right on, but how much more power we would have IF we got together and prayed as one to the One as they did in the upper room?
I'm praying and willing to give up the temporal for the eternal. I'm praying for you to experience the REAL power of an almighty God, I'm asking God RIGHT NOW to cause YOU to step right up in the middle of the power of the HOLY SPIRIT. God knock'em down, if it will cause them to look up.

I Am The Friend That Will Share With You, What He Did For Me.
Many of my old friends are dead. The kids I grew up with. I'm blessed to be alive, as I had a major heart attack at 43 years of age, but God spared me for a reason. I don't think it was just to ride a bike, drink a beer or two, and to waste away time, till I die. All I really need to say is that I want to try to get as many of my existing friends to think about eternity while they are able, and share Christ with as many as possible, before I take that trip.
I'm not for sure how many of my old buddies I will see when I pass on (I pray all), as I can not be for sure of their salvation (except for one that I know of), as we were so young when some passed to the other side, but you who are alive today, you can know for sure. Think about what I'm saying.
You may not understand, or may not want to understand it or even hear it, but age will slip up on you, as it has me, and one day you will realize, as I have, life is winding down. The body goes to the grave or is burned, life (breath) leaves the body, but the spirit, the one thing that seperates us from all other animals is eternal, and the spirit will live on, the question is where.
I know where I'm going.
The devil hates me right now, because I've come back to my senses, and many of you may be confused, but don't be, for one day all that I'm speaking of will be made plain to you as well.
I pray that you don't delete me as a friend, and I know that you don't want to be preached to, but I do not apologize for what I believe is right, and the right thing to do for me. May His Spirit direct our paths.
Please read my blog on salvation (the Roman's Road), e-mail me, private message me, ask right here or call me, if you need answers. I will not argue with you over interpretations of the Bible or what some call the many paths that lead to God. I will however listen to you if you show me the same respect.
The greatest thing you have going for you today is that Jesus loves you, the second greatest thing today that can happen to you is that a true Christian loves you enough to share that same Jesus with you.
So friends you are loved!!!
His, Therefore Yours,

Huuuummmmm!!!!
As the old saying goes, if a hypocrite stands BETWEEN you and God, the hypocrite is closer to Him than you.
From a College Brother
Pastor Darrin Miller and I attended Bible College together, I graduated before him, but when he did get his degree he went on to Seminary and I went into evangelism and building a church in Owensboro, KY. I received Bro. Darrin's latest BLOG entry via e-mail this morning and wanted to share it with some of you.
My mentor Dr. Steve Wilkes has a mission’s heart as big as the world. He was my church growth professor while attending Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. He also became my friend and mentor. His passion for starting new churches is contagious. I think one of the reasons we got together was my passion for missions, evangelism and church planting almost matched his.
Dr Wilkes taught me several truths and I want to share with you a couple that are part of my DNA. First, go to the harvest area. Henry Blackaby in Experiencing God said it this way ‘go where you see God at work’. Jesus Said (Matt 9:37-38) “The harvest is plenteous but the laborers are few: Pray ye therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.” My heart is to work and take others into the harvest field. My experiences include 14 international mission trips. All trips were to harvest areas except two. We need people to go to pioneer areas however God has bent my heart toward the harvest. Second, is that new churches are the most effective evangelistic tools on planet earth.
God has blessed me with the privilege to be involved in many church plants nationally and globally. Obviously, I have a strong passion for church planting. New churches grow faster than existing churches. New churches are more effective in reaching the unchurched. New churches are not hindered by traditions and mindsets that are not biblical or effective. New churches can be cultural relevant to the people they are trying to reach.
I believe every city and town should have a new, relevant, modern and life-giving community of faith that focuses on the unchurched. Please understand that new churches are better than existing ones. New churches are not for everyone and thank God for the established churches, however in reality new churches can reach people the established churches cannot. That is the reason I have a passion for new churches. People need Jesus! Without Christ people have no hope. I want to make it hard for people to go to hell and new churches are the most effective tool I know.
